Integrating life skills, entrepreneurship and a choice of available technical course:
Participants will learn basic life skills which assist them in making better choices for their lives. They will identify business opportunities based on sustainable use of natural resources and will produce a business plan. They will learn a practical trade based on their choice.
Duration: 3 to 6 weeks
We have scheduled the Skills for life courses for a minimum of 10 participants.
We are offering two course runs, one in June/July, the other in August with variable starting dates and technical courses. The dates for these courses in 2021 are:
Course run 1
June 7th to 11th Fish farming (elective)
June 14th to 18th Beekeeping (elective)
June 21st to 25th Sustainable Agriculture (elective)
June 28th to August 9th Life skills and Entrepreneurship
July 12th to 16th Processing of herbal and cosmetic products (elective)
July 19th to 23rd Beekeeping (elective)
Course run 2
August 2nd to 13th Life skills and Entrepreneurship
August 16th to 20th Beekeeping
August 23rd to 27th Processing of herbal and cosmetic products (elective)
We reserve the right to cancel a course in case we do not get the required minimum number of participants. We can also organize any other timing for a self-organised group of a minimum of 10 participants.
The course cost per participant is Ksh 20.000 for 3 weeks, which includes tuition and all training materials.
You will have to cater for your own accommodation, food and transport.
Extension services: The technical courses (beekeeping and fish farming) need follow up and mentoring on site. For any kind of extension service we charge Ksh 5,000/day irrespective of the number of clients served. This is not inclusive of transport and accommodation of the facilitator to the site.
