Participants will understand the benefits of beekeeping for the environment and are able to establish an apiary. They know how to manage a beehive and to harvest in theory. Follow up on-site support can be offered as extension service.
Duration: 5 days
We have scheduled the beekeeping courses for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants. The dates for these courses in 2021 are:
January: 25th to 29th
February: 15th to 19th
March: 15th to 19th
April: 12th to 16th
May: 17th to 21st
June: 14th to 18th
July: 19th to 23rd
August: 16th to 20th
September: 13th to 17th
October: 18th to 23rd (without Mashujaa day on 20.10.)
November: 15th to 19th
December: 13th to 17th
We reserve the right to cancel a course in case we do not get the required minimum number of participants. We can also organize any other timing for a self-organized group of a minimum of 5 participants.
The course cost per participant is Ksh 15,000, which includes tuition and all training materials.
You will have to cater for your own accommodation, food and transport.
Extension services: The beekeeping course needs follow up and mentoring on site. For any kind of extension service we charge Ksh 5.000/day irrespective of the number of clients served. This is not inclusive of transport and accommodation of the facilitator to the site.
